Q. Where is your store located?

A. North Shore Bike Rentals is a delivery service only.  We are happy to deliver bikes to you anywhere on the North Shore free of charge.  We will consider delivering bikes to other parts of the island for a fee.

 

Q. Do I have to lock my bikes?

A. Yes. There is a $300 bike replacement fee if unlocked bikes are stolen. Locks are provided free of charge with every rental.

 

Q. Do we have to wear bike helmets?

A. Hawaii law requires children 12 and under to wear helmets. Helmets are included with all our rentals and North Shore Bike Rentals encourages safe riding.

 

Q. Do baskets come with the bike rentals?

A. Yes, we are happy to announce there are baskets available for all adult bikes.

 

Q. How far in advance should I place my order?
A. Please place your order at least 48 hours in advance. We check our emails throughout the day and we will send you a confirmation ASAP. Please note, during peak travel seasons our bikes are in high demand and it is a good idea to make reservations as far in advance as possible.

 

Q. What if I want to rent a bike for today?

A. Whenever possible, we will accommodate you requests as long as it fits into our delivery schedule. 

Q. What if I break down on my rental bike?
A. Call us and we will rescue you as soon as we can.


Q. What are the bicycle rules on the island?
A. Follow the flow of traffic. Cars usually assume the right away. Ride on the bike paths whenever possible, that’s what their there for, plus they’re beautiful. You can view a map on our web site.
